Account Manager

Job Summary:

This Security Account Manager position is with NETSCOUT's US SLED Sales Team, focusing on the State, Local, and Education Sector. The role involves selling products or services to government agencies, municipalities, schools, universities, and other public institutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales quota in assigned territory through direct sales to customers.
  • Control accounts directly, even if business is booked through channels.
  • Develop strong relationships and coach in accounts.
  • Develop a pipeline of 4X quota and constantly prospect in new or existing accounts.
  • Work collaboratively with Sales Engineers to ensure ongoing account technical support.

Requirements:

  • Adhere to company policies and ethical guidelines.
  • Follow a selling process.
  • Responsible for booking business per the company bookings policies and revenue recognition policy.
  • Understand the customer's business and how our products impact their business.
  • Develop strong working relationships with channel partners.
  • Consistently call at multiple levels high and wide.
  • Follow company strategy and direction.
  • Substantial travel within region and occasionally beyond is required.
  • Candidate will need to be located on the West Coast or Mountain States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree.
  • 5+ years sales experience in Network Security or cybersecurity.
  • 5+ years experience selling into large IT / Data Centers.
  • 5+ years experience in the SLED market segment.
  • A quantifiable track record of success demonstrated by territory/professional growth.
  • A solid, articulate understanding of our technology, market, and client profile.
  • Track record of exceptional and consistent quota achievement.
  • Proven success, established customers and contacts, and solid territory knowledge.

Location: West Coast or Mountain States
