Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our plumbing business. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise in plumbing systems, and a proven track record in managing teams to deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of plumbers and support staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and adherence to company standards.
  2. Project Management: Coordinate and schedule plumbing projects, including installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks, ensuring timely completion and efficient resource allocation.
  3. Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control throughout all plumbing projects, conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  4. Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a professional and timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
  5. Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels of plumbing materials and equipment, overseeing procurement, storage, and distribution to support project requirements and minimize waste.
  6. Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, codes, and safety standards, implementing policies and procedures to promote a safe working environment for employees and clients.
  7. Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage operational budgets, monitoring expenses, and identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  8. Performance Analysis: Analyze operational performance metrics, such as productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  9. Vendor and Supplier Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors, negotiating contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and pricing for materials and services.
  10. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the operations department, identifying opportunities for innovation, process optimization, and skills development to enhance overall performance and competitiveness.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the plumbing industry, with a strong understanding of plumbing systems, techniques, and materials.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve organizational goals.
  • Solid project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and allocate resources effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a results-driven mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and plumbing software applications.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.
