**Job Summary**

The Truckload Operations Manager is a key leadership role that focuses on the strategic management of our operations department. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing high-performing drivers, collaborating with planners, and maximizing profitability.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve driver performance and retention.
  • Collaborate with planners to assign drivers to lanes that optimize efficiency and profitability.
  • Manage driver home time expectations and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Maximize profitability by optimizing tractor and trailer utilization.
  • Ensure accurate payroll processing and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Proactively manage safety performance to achieve insurance and claims cost targets.
  • Participate in service-oriented conference calls to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Expedite the billing process by managing and clearing user discrepancy queues.
  • Solicit business from assigned customers by leveraging daily available capacity.
  • Perform driver reviews and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Work with dispatchers to successfully manage loads and meet customer needs.
  • Monitor and report daily pick-ups and deliveries, and resolve shipment issues promptly.
  • Conduct follow-up and update stakeholders on problem loads and actions taken.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and performance.
  • Contribute to a positive work atmosphere by promoting teamwork and collaboration.

**Requirements**

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years of experience in transportation, operations, or logistics industries.

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, Business, or related field.
  • Knowledge of transportation management systems and ELD systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
