Job Summary

GE Aviation seeks a highly skilled Information Systems Security Specialist to provide multi-disciplinary security support for classified government programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of key business drivers and be able to integrate their work with other teams to contribute to the area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the security of personnel, facilities, computers, general information, and information systems for Government classified programs.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of a discipline and use prior experience and acquired expertise to execute functional policy/strategy.
  • Provide informal guidance to new team members and explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
  • Impact projects, processes, and procedures in own field and operate with some autonomy but focus on execution of activities/provision of advice within an enabling discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures.
  • Utilize technical expertise and judgment to solve problems and leverage technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems.
Requirements
  • DOD 8570 IAT II certification required.
  • US Government Security Clearance.
  • For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in IT Security Oversight) + 2 years of experience in IT Security Oversight.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
