We are in search of a dedicated and qualified Occupational Health and Safety Manager for our expanding workforce of over 400 employees. This role will be pivotal in promoting the company's health and safety initiatives to ensure a secure working environment for all staff. The position significantly impacts the company's overall performance in health and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. Maintain safety documentation and records.
  • Analyze safety performance metrics and initiate continuous improvement strategies.
  • Coordinate and facilitate training programs related to OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
  • Collaborate with the production team to enhance operational efficiencies and minimize health and safety-related expenses.
  • Oversee the accident investigation program to prevent recurrence of incidents and ensure adequate sharing of incident information across all locations.
  • Compile and submit accident reports required by regulatory and insurance agencies.
  • Conduct or coordinate on-site reviews and audits of operations across all locations.
  • Inspect organizational facilities to identify existing or potential health and safety hazards, determine corrective or preventative measures, and follow up to ensure implementation.
  • Promote a culture committed to maintaining an illness and injury-free workplace.
  • Work with the safety committee to address safety concerns, gather feedback, and foster a culture of safety. Act as a liaison between management and the safety committee.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or a related field; or five or more years of relevant experience and/or training; or a suitable combination of education and experience.

Experience:
  • Three or more years of demonstrated experience in a safety leadership role, preferably within a manufacturing setting.
  • Certification in Occupational Health and Safety is advantageous.
  • Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis.
