Custodial Technician

TRDI is a nonprofit organization headquartered in San Antonio, dedicated to enhancing opportunities for individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities. We are currently in search of a skilled Custodial Technician for our Corpus Christi facility. Candidates must possess custodial experience and have a solid understanding of floor care, cleaning agents, and equipment. Additionally, the ability to secure and maintain a valid driver's license and security clearance is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Under direct supervision, the Custodial Technician is responsible for cleaning and supplying the building, offices, and facilities during assigned shifts.
- Thoroughly cleans restrooms, offices, hallways, locker rooms, break rooms, shower areas, holding cells, surfaces, and other designated spaces through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and polishing.
- Regularly empties and sanitizes waste containers.
- Disposes of hazardous waste when required.
- Prepares cleaning solutions to appropriate concentrations for various tasks.
- Cleans blinds, windows, screens, sills, and walls using designated cleaning solutions.
- Maintains cleanliness of sidewalks, porches, and tiled areas.
- Dusts furniture and equipment as necessary.
- Replaces light bulbs and collects litter around the premises.
- Must be capable of using a step ladder, operating a floor burnisher, and communicating effectively with clients.
- Performs additional tasks as assigned by the Project Manager.
