Position: School Floor Technician

Shift: 2pm - 9:30pm

Compensation: $11.25 per hour

The School Floor Technician is responsible for performing essential cleaning tasks within educational environments, including K-12 schools, colleges, and universities. This role focuses on the upkeep and maintenance of both carpeted and hard surface flooring.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • One year of relevant work experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in customer service is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas, which may include classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and offices.
  • Perform sweeping, mopping, and debris removal in designated spaces.
  • Regularly check and empty trash receptacles as necessary.
  • Adhere to procedures for using chemical cleaners and equipment to avoid damage to surfaces.
  • Report any maintenance needs to supervisors or management.
  • Establish effective communication with clients and team members.
  • Sort and dispose of recycling materials appropriately.
  • Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
  • Polish hard surfaces, including wood and stainless steel.
  • Clean food area equipment and surfaces.
  • Move furniture and equipment as needed for cleaning purposes.
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and glass partitions using appropriate methods.
  • Perform seasonal tasks such as snow removal and lawn maintenance.
  • Ensure restrooms are maintained to high cleanliness standards.
  • Comply with all safety and quality standards set by the company and regulatory authorities.
  • Use appropriate techniques for cleaning floors, including mopping and vacuuming.
  • Prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
  • Strip, seal, and polish floors as required.
  • Vacuum carpeted areas and apply spot cleaning treatments.
