About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Management Specialist to join our team at Intrepid USA. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Financial Management and Comptroller (ASA(FM&C)).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of Army financial management processes and policies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address financial management needs and requirements.
  • Design and implement effective financial management solutions to meet the needs of the ASA(FM&C).
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on financial management matters to senior government officials and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of financial management processes and policies.
  • Work closely with project managers and graphic designers to produce high-quality documentation.
  • Develop and implement Organizational Change Management (OCM) plans and Strategic Communications plans.
  • Develop executive summaries, program and project-related documents, posture papers, white papers, talking points, MOUs, MOAs, SOPs, and other documents.
  • Provide expert advice on information presentation options and coordinate with subject matter experts to ensure specialized topics are adequately researched and addressed.
  • Assist with the authoring, proofing, and quality control of project documentation, operational procedures, technical reports, research publications, and presentations.
  • Analyze information required for the development or update of policy, procedure, and form documentation.
  • Contribute ideas, suggestions, and content as part of a project team and assist with content development and workflow solutions.
Requirements
  • Active SECRET clearance.
  • Department of Defense Financial Management Certification (DFMC) Level 3.
  • Master's degree from an accredited school and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience as a Technical Writer OR a Bachelor's degree from an accredited school and a minimum of 16 years of relevant experience as a Technical Writer.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, MS Publisher, and SharePoint, familiarity with Adobe InDesign, and an aptitude to learn other software as required.
  • Experience in the AP writing style, Military writing style, and DoD regulatory formatting guidelines.
  • Demonstrated expertise in oral and written communication as well as teamwork, task management, time management, and critical thinking.
  • Highly skilled and effective written and oral communicator with experience supporting DoD or other government organizations.
  • Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment and meet all deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a Technical Writer supporting DoD agencies, senior leadership (SES/GO/FO), and other stakeholders and personnel.
