Industrial Service Overhead Crane Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Service Overhead Crane Technician to join our team. As a key member of our industrial crane installation and service business, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair overhead cranes, crane controls, hoists, and drives.
  • Inspect overhead industrial cranes and hoists.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment.
  • Properly use a man lift during service.
  • Evaluate and communicate with customers recommendations requiring repairs.
  • Communicate with management and sales as to what further needs the customer could have.
  • Maintains time tracking per job and reports any product concerns or inconsistencies.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 2-4 years' work experience as a technician in an industrial environment.
  • Mechanical and electrical skills ideally learned from a trade school.
  • Overhead crane experience not required, but familiarity and exposure to working on cranes and hoists a definite plus.
  • Welding aptitude would be a benefit.
  • Ability to work overtime.
  • Demonstrated positive attendance record.
Working Conditions
  • Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Ability to frequently walk, climb, kneel, bend, reach overhead, push, pull, and use a ladder or stool.
  • Frequently exposed to heat, cold, noise, and heights.
  • Ability to work in outside conditions during all seasons.
  • Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble parts or machines as directed.
  • Must wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).

Pay Details: $66,560.00 to $87,360.00 per hour
