Job Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our team at Green Street Advisors LLC. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and building data ingestion models, ETLs, and testing to maintain data integrity and availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build data ingestion models, ETLs, and testing to maintain data integrity and availability
  • Document data models and ER diagrams
  • Develop, maintain, and improve current data architecture
  • Design and build database schema for financial and real estate data
  • Collaborate with research, product, and operations teams to deepen analytical toolkit and improve workflow
  • Aid and perform analysis on large aggregated datasets
  • Work directly with a development team in California and other offshore development team members in various time zones

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Engineering or comparable experience
  • Strong programming skills with 2-4 years of experience in a scripting language (Python preferred)
  • Proficient database skills with experience in either MySQL, SQL, or PostgreSQL
  • Must enjoy problem solving, have excellent communication skills, and demonstrate attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Willingness and desire to keep up with new cloud technologies, languages, standards, and practices

What We Offer:

  • Fully remote working until we get an office space – then we would like you to get together 3 days per week
  • Working hours – 11 am – 8 pm EEST ( 3 days/week for the first 6-12 months) – you need to work with our West Coast US tech team
  • Social benefits – now we have only additional health insurance – we're new to Bulgaria, so give us time to create the best package for you
  • Labor contract – currently we use the services of an international HR company with presence in Bulgaria
  • Salary & bonuses – according to the standard for 2024 in Bulgaria
