About the Role

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will collaborate with and assist the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and members of senior leadership in executing Community Health Programs' mission and vision. The CFO will oversee and direct the finance and billing teams and be responsible for the overall financial health and wellbeing of Community Health Programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct all financial accounting and reporting, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Analyze, prepare, and present financial statements to management, the Board, and the broader Community Health Programs community.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures and ensure compliance.
  • Oversee Community Health Programs' relationships with federal and state tax authorities and government regulators.
  • Oversee payroll department and all related processing, reporting, tax filings, etc.
  • Oversee and direct all revenue cycle activities, including accurate and timely billing to third-party payers.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required. Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years experience, including five (5) years in a healthcare organization as well as experience in fiscal services (grants, contracts, billing and collections, bookkeeping, accounting, reporting).
  • Experience in primary or multispecialty ambulatory care and/or federally-qualified health center strongly preferred.
  • Financial and budgetary practices to develop annual budget, analyze financial data and patterns, and prepare financial statements.
  • Cash flow forecasting and management.
  • Strategic business objectives and employee performance objectives.
  • Governmental and health care fiscal regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Electronic health records and practice management systems.
  • Revenue cycle management mechanics and best practices, including payer contracting.

Leadership and Management

  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on building, mentoring, and retaining a high-performing finance team.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative environment and drive continuous improvement across departments.
  • Proven track record of driving innovation in financial processes, revenue cycle management, and operational efficiency.
  • Expertise in financial reporting, data analysis, and the use of advanced financial software and tools.

  • Full-time position.
