Position Overview

Role Summary: The aim is to empower and equip every scholar with the self-assurance, bravery, and skills necessary to realize their aspirations; contribute positively to the community; and engage in lifelong learning. Responsibilities include providing assistance and support in the designated area, which encompasses developing and executing individual scholar objectives, assessing scholar progress in alignment with the goals outlined in the Individual Educational Plan (IEP) utilized by the district, encouraging scholar success, maintaining essential scholar documentation, and submitting relevant reports to the licensed administrators as directed or permitted by the superintendent. Additionally, this role involves maintaining communication with guardians/caregivers of scholars and collaborating with them in the development of each scholar, executing classroom management responsibilities, enforcing district regulations regarding conduct, comprehending and applying due process guidelines in accordance with state and federal laws, regulations, and district policies; utilizing resources and technologies effectively and equitably; implementing the objectives of the District and the school and/or program for which employed; providing in-person, synchronous, and asynchronous learning and services when applicable; and working collaboratively with colleagues. Flexibility in work hours is essential to accommodate the needs of guardians/caregivers, department, building, and/or district as determined by the supervisor.

Minimum qualifications include:
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • MN teaching license in appropriate field - School Social Worker*
