Job Summary

Thrifty White Pharmacy is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Billing and Account Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy operations, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing accounts, and ensuring accurate billing and payment processing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to customers and pharmacy personnel via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Manage and resolve account-related issues, including balances, charges, payments, and rebilling claims.
  • Process online payments, adjustments, and refunds as necessary.
  • Verify customer demographics and ensure account accuracy and HIPAA compliance.
  • Use various software systems, including TWRx, insurance websites, PeopleSoft, and Intranet, to complete research and rebilling tasks.
  • Identify areas for improvement within the team and partner with leadership to implement changes.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient PHI and adhere to HIPAA guidelines and TW processes.
Requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve using available tools and resources.
  • Moderate computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with specialists and leadership.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • AAS degree or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft, TWRx, and OnBase.
