Job Title: Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Microsoft is seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our Cloud+Artificial Intelligence (AI) Silver Team. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for deploying and operating a Secure Work Area, including the infrastructure for collaboration within an airgapped environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain large-scale distributed systems and cloud technologies to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize improvements to product features and code to enhance availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance.
  • Develop and test changes to optimize code and improve the observability, reliability, and operability of platform, system, or product components or features.
  • Engage with product engineering teams to propose potential improvements in code base and designs across components and features of one or more products.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration.
  • Experience with PowerShell, C#, or C++.
  • 3+ years of experience working on large-scale distributed services with on-call responsibilities.
  • Ability to build and influence broadly towards common goals and priorities.
  • Ownership for end-to-end project lifecycle with solid project management and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, such as Azure.
  • Knowledge of security policies and assurance requirements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
