Construction Supervisor

Caton Construction Group, a family-owned company, is seeking an experienced Pipe/Utility Foreman for our Bridge & Roadway Project in North Carolina.
This job posting is for our Winston-Salem, NC, project.
Job Summary:
The Pipe/Utility Foreman is a field position responsible for organizing and leading a crew to safely and efficiently perform construction activities. The Foreman works under the general direction of the Superintendent and must be an experienced heavy equipment operator.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinating construction work according to priorities and plans.
Planning, organizing, and leading grading crews.
Producing schedules and monitoring attendance of crew members.
Allocating general and daily responsibilities.
Coordinating tasks according to priorities and plans.
Scheduling aggregate material quantities and deliveries, determining trucking needs, and scheduling trucks.
Supervising and training workers and tradespeople.
Ensuring labor and other resources are adequate.
Guaranteeing all safety precautions and quality standards are met.
Supervising the use of machinery and equipment.
Monitoring expenditure and ensuring it remains within budget.
Resolving problems when they arise.
Reporting on progress to managers, engineers, etc.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position with normal days and hours of work being Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. with time provided for lunch. Hours may vary, and work may be local or out of town, requiring overnight stays. This position frequently requires long hours and weekend work.
Travel/Driving:
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected. A driver's license is required.
Supervisory Responsibility:
Assigning work to subordinates, establishing deadlines, and modifying work schedules as needed.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a construction foreman.
Diploma in a skilled trade (electrician, carpenter, etc.) is a plus.
