Behavioral Health Clinician

At UMass Memorial Health, we are seeking a skilled Clinician to join our team. As a Clinician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the well-being of our community.
Job Summary:The Clinician will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing crisis intervention and de-escalation services to clients. This role requires strong clinical skills, cultural competence, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct initial comprehensive assessments of clients to identify their needs and develop treatment plans.
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation services as needed.
- Assess eligibility for services, medical necessity, and treatment preferences.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that address client strengths, preferences, and behaviorally based goals and objectives.
- Coordinate care on behalf of clients and complete referrals to indicated services.
- Document service delivery activities and complete consents, releases of information, and other required documentation.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
- Apply culturally competent practices and recognize the need for consultation.
- Complete continuing education activities as directed by licensing body and program requirements.
- Master's degree in a clinical course of study in behavioral health (social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, counseling, or related field) that meets the academic requirements for independent licensure in psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or mental health counseling in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Licensure as LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or is actively working towards licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Satisfactory CORI background check.
- Must be able to move about the space periodically during the shift.
- Must be able to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds for various needs.
