Job Summary:

As a Radiologic Imaging Specialist at UW Health in Northern Illinois, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to patients. Your expertise in computed tomography imaging and patient care will be essential in ensuring accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to ensure high-quality images.
Implement radiation protection and safety standards to minimize patient exposure.
Prepare for and assist physicians in procedures, including interventional procedures.
Perform reconstruction of CT images and prepare contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.

Requirements:

Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
Certification by ARRT in Radiology or current NMTCB certification.
Current license from IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency).
CT certification within 24 months of hire.
CPR certification required within three (3) months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience as a hospital radiographer and CT technologist.
ARRT certification in CT.
