Rantec Power Systems Seeks Experienced Business Development Leader

Rantec Power Systems, a leading designer and manufacturer of power supplies for the military and aerospace markets, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vice President of Business Development to join our leadership team. This key role will lead our Business Development and Account Management teams in driving near and long-term growth through new business development, forecasting, strategic planning, marketing, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Responsiveness: Ensure Rantec's responsiveness to customer needs, including RFP timeliness and compliance, contract review, and customer satisfaction.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the defense and aerospace sector, including government agencies, prime contractors, suppliers, and industry associations.
  • Pursue New Business: Develop strategic and tactical plans to pursue new customers, platforms, and products.
  • Securing Follow-on Business: Deepen and grow relationships with established customers, extending relationships vertically and laterally to improve current position and identify new opportunities.
  • Customer Scorecard Results: Improve and maintain Rantec's scorecards as a premier power supply provider through process optimization and quality performance.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in account or program management, with defense experience required.
  • Knowledge of defense acquisition processes, government contracting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Aerospace experience preferred, with electronics components, systems, and subsystems experience also preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strategic thinker with a data-driven and results-oriented approach to business development.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary range: $155,000 - $200,000.
