Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Technology Support Specialist to join our team at Touro University. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support to students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer smart-podiums and troubleshoot Audio-Visual issues in lecture halls, labs, and classrooms.
  • Respond to service tickets and perform installation, configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting of desktop/laptop computers and peripherals.
  • Administer Print Server and printing management software, as well as E-Mail listserv for faculty, staff, and student body.
  • Troubleshoot network (wired and wireless) related issues and provide technical support for Medical Simulation Machines.
  • Assist students and instructors with Canvas and clicker issues, and troubleshoot Zoom issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science preferred.
  • At least 3 years of IT experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in communication (written and verbal) required.
  • Customer service and team orientated required.
  • A high degree of interpersonal competency: professionalism, diplomacy, judgement, and discretion required.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop positive and cooperative relationships with students, faculty, and colleagues required.
  • Knowledge of Windows Workstations/Servers, Linux Servers (preferred), and Mac OSX.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Basic understanding of Audio-Visual equipment.
  • Internet research.
