Job Summary

The Department of Insurance is seeking a highly skilled Actuary Supervisor to join our team. As an Actuary Supervisor, you will be responsible for performing complex actuarial analysis, working on high-priority projects, and assisting in the management of the life actuarial staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform highly skilled actuarial analysis and work on complex actuarial projects
  • Assist in the management of the life actuarial staff
  • Provide actuarial support to other units within the Department
  • Develop and implement actuarial models and techniques to improve the accuracy and efficiency of actuarial calculations
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with business objectives
Requirements
  • Eligibility for the Actuary Supervisor examination
  • Experience in actuarial analysis and management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Working Conditions

This position is eligible for telework in accordance with the Department's telework policy. Travel may be required within and outside the State of California via private or public transportation. Travel expenses are not reimbursed, but other authorized transit subsidies may be available.
