Actuary Supervisor

As a key member of the Department of Insurance, the Actuary Supervisor plays a crucial role in performing highly skilled actuarial analysis and managing the work of the life actuarial staff. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Responsibilities:- Perform complex actuarial analysis and provide actuarial support to other units within the Department.
- Work under the general direction of the Chief Life Actuary to manage the work of the life actuarial staff.
- Provide expert advice on actuarial matters and contribute to the development of actuarial policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other teams to identify and address actuarial risks and opportunities.
- Eligibility for appointment requires passing the Actuary Supervisor examination.
- Must have a strong background in actuarial science and a proven track record of success in actuarial analysis.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
This position is eligible for telework in accordance with CDI's Telework policy. Travel expenses are not reimbursed, however other authorized transit subsidies do exist for those who qualify.
