Job Summary:

The Oregon State Legislature is seeking an experienced Policy and Project Manager to oversee the development and implementation of transportation policies and projects. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on the state's transportation systems and ensure the safety of Oregonians.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of multi-modal transportation systems, current and potential revenue sources, and experience managing large-scale, complex public policy projects. They will work closely with the Senate President's Office, the House Speaker's Office, and other stakeholders to develop and implement policies and projects that benefit the state.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement transportation policies and projects that align with the state's goals and objectives
  • Manage and coordinate with stakeholders, including elected officials, staff, and other government agencies
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform policy decisions and project development
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including transportation industry leaders and advocacy groups
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and laws

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as public policy, transportation, or urban planning
  • 5+ years of experience in policy development and project management, preferably in a government or public sector setting
  • Strong knowledge of transportation systems, policies, and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
