We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Imaging Specialist to join our team at Uniontown Hospital. As a key member of our Radiology Department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound imaging and therapeutic services, as well as providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging and therapeutic services, including patient preparation, imaging procedures, and equipment maintenance.
- Provide exceptional patient care, including education, support, and comfort throughout the imaging process.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment.
- Maintain expertise in ultrasound imaging modalities, including anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care and imaging services.
- Provide clinical supervision and instruction to students and new staff members.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
- Completion of a C.A.H.E.P. accredited training program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- ARDMS certification with specialties in Abdominal and Obstetrical/Gynecology.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sonographer.
