Cardiac Sonographer Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Uniontown Hospital. As a key member of our Cardio Non-Invasive Lab, you will be responsible for performing adult cardiac or vascular ultrasound procedures to facilitate accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients.

• Perform non-invasive imaging procedures in Cardiac Graphics and Vascular Laboratories, including echocardiograms, TEEs, TTEs, stress echo, and structure heart program imaging.
• Conduct venous duplexes, arterial duplexes, dialysis graphs, venous insufficiencies, pulse volume recordings, and ankle brachial index procedures.
• Properly bill procedures and prioritize patient scheduling to ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate and prioritize patient scheduling to ensure efficient use of resources.
• Obtain information for specific procedures, answer patient questions, and provide excellent customer service.
• Document procedures performed within patient charts and notify medical staff of any abnormal findings.
• Calculate and measure cardiovascular structures to aid physicians in interpreting results and achieving a diagnosis.
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of equipment, procedure rooms, and work areas.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• One year of Sonography experience (or recent graduate of a Cardiac Ultrasound Program)
• Must obtain appropriate certification within two years of hire (Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, Registered Cardiac Sonographer, Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer, Registered Vascular Technologist, or Registered Vascular Specialist)
• Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date

• One year of experience in a certified echocardiography laboratory or vascular laboratory
