Key Responsibilities- Manage a team of workers compensation adjusters, ensuring their work product meets the highest standards.
- Oversee staffing analysis, jurisdictional analysis, and staffing budget for the workers compensation team.
- Mediate situations between insureds and insurance companies, researching coverage issues and resolving large loss reporting and audit responses.
- Troubleshoot complex claim issues, requiring higher level authority or interpretation.
- Finalize contracts with third-party services, generate checks for indemnity and medical payments, and request and interpret workers compensation reports.
- Meet with clients to discuss ongoing claims, review claim history, and answer client inquiries.
- Handle administrative duties, including hiring and firing, and participate in the CRS Leadership Committee to evaluate strategic direction.
- Assist in Sales and Account Management as needed, and analyze and implement requirements of state departments of insurance for TPA regulations.
- Supervise claim activity of captive claim handlers.
- High school education or GED equivalent; college preferred.
- Industry-specific technical designations (AIC, CIC, or ARM).
- Minimum of five years claims experience with strong background in Workers' Compensation or Liability coverage and claim adjudication.
