We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and support our EHS initiatives at our East Providence, RI facility. The successful candidate will have a strong background in EHS and experience in a manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement EHS Programs: Direct and support EHS activities at the location, including internal reporting of EHS performance, communication of and compliance with national/state/local regulatory requirements, and ensuring accurate and complete EHS reporting of metrics.
- Lead EHS Teams and Committees: Facilitate the establishment and engagement of EHS teams and committees to accomplish established targets and objectives for the year.
- Conduct Compliance Evaluations: Work with the leadership team and audit element champions to complete an annual compliance evaluation for EHS national, state, and local regulations.
- Manage EHS Data and Reporting: Use established EHS data processes such as Audit Prism to manage data such as injuries and illnesses, environmental metrics, risk assessments, EHS action items, and other pertinent information.
- Develop and Implement Training Programs: Conduct various training programs to meet regulatory requirements and assist in training new employees on EHS.
- Prepare Reports and Filings: Prepare reports, plans, and other government EHS filings and ensure timely and accurate submission.
- Evaluate and Improve Work Design: Evaluate jobs for possible ergonomic improvements and implement these work design changes.
- Coordinate OSHA Compliance Programs: Coordinate all OSHA compliance programs and manage existing aspects of the site's environmental programs.
- Experience: 5-10 years of EH&S experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Education: College degree in occupational safety/environmental science or certification from a recognized certification body in the practice of occupational safety.
- Computer Literacy: Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite and the potential to learn other utility software packages.
