Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and support our EHS initiatives at our East Providence, RI facility. The successful candidate will have a strong background in EHS and experience in a manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement EHS Programs: Direct and support EHS activities at the location, including internal reporting of EHS performance, communication of and compliance with national/state/local regulatory requirements, and ensuring accurate and complete EHS reporting of metrics.
  • Lead EHS Teams and Committees: Facilitate the establishment and engagement of EHS teams and committees to accomplish established targets and objectives for the year.
  • Conduct Compliance Evaluations: Work with the leadership team and audit element champions to complete an annual compliance evaluation for EHS national, state, and local regulations.
  • Manage EHS Data and Reporting: Use established EHS data processes such as Audit Prism to manage data such as injuries and illnesses, environmental metrics, risk assessments, EHS action items, and other pertinent information.
  • Develop and Implement Training Programs: Conduct various training programs to meet regulatory requirements and assist in training new employees on EHS.
  • Prepare Reports and Filings: Prepare reports, plans, and other government EHS filings and ensure timely and accurate submission.
  • Evaluate and Improve Work Design: Evaluate jobs for possible ergonomic improvements and implement these work design changes.
  • Coordinate OSHA Compliance Programs: Coordinate all OSHA compliance programs and manage existing aspects of the site's environmental programs.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5-10 years of EH&S experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Education: College degree in occupational safety/environmental science or certification from a recognized certification body in the practice of occupational safety.
  • Computer Literacy: Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite and the potential to learn other utility software packages.
