About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Director to join our client's team in their Pharmaceutical Manufacturing facility in Rhode Island. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the company's EHS strategy, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and fostering a safe and sustainable work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead EHS initiatives to promote a safe and healthy work environment, including training programs, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS into all company processes and projects.
  • Ensure timely submission of EHS-related reports to regulatory bodies.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records and documentation for all safety programs, training sessions, incidents, and corrective actions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in environmental, safety, health, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Environmental, Safety and Health, preferably with a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Rhode Island Environmental Regulatory Programs is a plus.
  • Thorough knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR Part 1910 and 1926.
  • Experience in environmental programs including RCRA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and regulatory negotiations.
