Outdoor Adventures Supervisor

Exceptional service is fundamental to our operations at Spanish Peaks Mountain Club. Managed by Montage International, Spanish Peaks is a private community located on 3,500 acres at an elevation of 7,700 feet in the breathtaking Big Sky region.

The Outdoor Adventures Supervisor is tasked with crafting personalized guest experiences within the SPMC Youth & Outdoor Adventures Department. Responsibilities include ensuring the precision of the equipment rental process, leading nordic and snowshoe activities, managing the arrival and departure of guest equipment, mentoring associates, and maintaining accurate records.

  • Oversees the scheduling of team members
  • Guides nordic skiing and snowshoeing excursions around Spanish Peaks Mountain Club
  • Ensures cleanliness and organization within the department
  • Maintains compliance with all operational standards
  • Effectively addresses guest complaints in a professional manner
  • Provides training and support to associates
  • Acts as a primary resource for local mountain conditions, weather, trails, lift access points, and dining options
  • Occasionally assists with youth programming
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Preferred college degree or equivalent education
  • Supervisory experience is preferred
  • Nordic cross-country PSIA certification is a plus
  • Experience in luxury hospitality is advantageous
  • Strong dedication to customer service; adept at resolving guest concerns promptly
  • Highly organized with excellent verbal communication skills
  • Must pass all binding indemnification tests from ski manufacturers in skier services
  • Comprehensive knowledge of recreational activities relevant to the area

Work tasks are performed both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to varying weather conditions. Candidates must be able to stand and maintain mobility for up to 4 hours at a time, lift up to 60 lbs regularly, and push or pull equipment weighing up to 250 lbs frequently. Physical tasks may include bending, stooping, squatting, and stretching to manage ski equipment.
