As a Night Operations Specialist for the Enchanted Forest Experience at Big Sky Resort, you'll interact with guests during an enchanting evening activity. This experience features a magical walk through a lit forest, with stops at fire pits and photo opportunities along the way. Your responsibilities will include preparing the trail, maintaining fire pits, transporting materials, and ensuring a memorable guest experience. You'll also greet guests, check tickets, answer questions, and engage with visitors to enhance their overall experience.
We're looking for hard-working, self-driven individuals who thrive on guest interaction and enjoy a varied workday outdoors.
Responsibilities
* Perform trail maintenance, build fires, and set up materials prior to the event.
* Welcome guests, check tickets, answer questions, and provide directions.
* Engage with guests throughout their Enchanted Forest experience, ensuring they have a magical and enjoyable time.
* Maintain flexibility by rotating through various tasks, including guest interactions, trail management, and more.
* Work alongside the Mountain Operations team, including Lift Operations, Ski Patrol, and the Road Crew, ensuring efficient coordination.
* Operate independently and as part of a team to uphold Big Sky's high guest service standards.
Work Schedule:
* This is a Wednesday through Saturday position, with shifts running from 12 PM to 10 PM. Each shift begins at the base area, assisting with ticketing, before moving up to the Enchanted Forest for pre-event preparations.
* Expect to work outdoors throughout the day and night, in varying weather conditions, including extreme cold and wind.
Qualifications
* Previous guest service experience is a plus, but not required.
* You must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
* Physical fitness is necessary for hiking, lifting, and working in challenging weather.
* Skiing or snowboarding experience is a plus, though not required. We value a willingness to learn
* Strong communication skills and a passion for interacting with guests are essential.
* Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work long hours.
