Job Summary:

Leap Brands is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the CT scan process, addressing any concerns or questions, and ensuring patients are comfortable. Obtain medical histories and check for any contraindications, such as allergies to contrast agents.
  2. Operating CT Equipment: Operate sophisticated imaging equipment, setting up and calibrating the CT scanner, adjusting parameters such as slice thickness, contrast injection rates, and imaging protocols based on the type of examination required.
  3. Image Acquisition: Position patients correctly to ensure high-quality images, monitoring the imaging process in real-time and making adjustments as necessary to optimize results.
  4. Quality Control: Evaluate acquired images for quality and clarity, identifying any artifacts or issues that may affect diagnostic quality and repeating scans if necessary.
  5. Collaboration with Radiologists: Work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals, effectively communicating scan details, patient information, and radiologist requirements for specific imaging studies.
  6. Patient Safety and Radiation Protection: Adhere to strict safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure, utilizing the lowest possible radiation dose required for effective imaging and educating patients on safety during procedures.
  7. Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records, including images, reports, and relevant notes regarding imaging procedures.
  8. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment, ensuring machines are functioning properly and reporting issues to appropriate personnel for repair.
  9. Continuing Education and Professional Development: Stay updated on the latest advancements in technology and best practices, attending workshops, completing continuing education courses, and obtaining certifications relevant to CT imaging.
Required Qualifications:

To become a CT Technologist, individuals typically need to hold an associate's or bachelor's degree in radiologic technology or a related field, be licensed and certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or an equivalent certification body, and have specialized training in computed tomography and clinical experience.
