Job Title: Senior Director, Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving Programs

Job Summary:

The Senior Director of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving Programs will lead the development and implementation of comprehensive alumni and parent engagement strategies to increase philanthropic support for The Juilliard School. This role will oversee the delivery of a suite of alumni and parent engagement activities, including reunions, Alumni Days, regional gatherings, online events, and learning opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically lead the team in executing comprehensive alumni and parent volunteer programs for fundraising, student recruitment, and mentoring.
  • Design, lead, and execute the development of annual goals and objectives, operating plans, budgets, and staffing structure for the team.
  • Build effective collaborations across the department and other areas of the university.
  • Oversee the execution of a robust direct marketing program for Juilliard annual giving programs.
  • Lead Annual Fund efforts to increase unrestricted support from alumni and parents.
  • Direct the implementation of a strategic communications plan to activate and engage a diverse population of alumni and parents.
  • Serve as the primary conservator of alumni and parent information.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Ten+ years of experience with increasing levels of responsibility working with alumni, volunteer, and membership groups preferably within higher education.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop staff, while working effectively and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Strong knowledge of all aspects of fundraising and volunteer engagement.
  • Entrepreneurial approach to problem-solving, with demonstrated success in exceeding goals.
  • High-level skills in consensus building, diplomacy, leadership, analysis, and strategic planning.
