Job Overview

Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr & Huber, Inc. (FTCH) is seeking dedicated Civil Engineers to contribute to municipal initiatives in our offices. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct design calculations, quantify project components, prepare cost estimates, execute CAD drafting, and compile reports.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to plan and design infrastructure projects, including water mains, sanitary sewers, and roadways for local municipalities.
  • Engage with technical staff across various offices to deliver utility and drainage design and related engineering services, primarily for local government entities.
  • Participate in daily interactions with project teams in a multidisciplinary and multi-office setting.
Physical Requirements

Ability to occasionally lift and carry items. Standard office working conditions apply, requiring prolonged periods of sitting and computer use. Must be capable of traveling to project sites for client meetings and site evaluations. Proficiency in using various technical equipment for communication and documentation is necessary. Visual acuity is essential for performing job responsibilities.

Educational Background

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Biosystems Engineering is preferred.

Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Successful completion of the FE (EIT) Exam.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Internship, co-op, or field inspection experience is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D software is required.
  • Strong computer and communication skills are essential.
