Job Overview

Sysco, a leading foodservice distribution company, is seeking an experienced Sales Consultant to join our World Class Sales Team.

Competitive Compensation Package

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive base salary of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on location and experience, plus bonus opportunities. Additionally, benefits include a car allowance, cell phone provided, robust health insurance package, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, and 401(k) with automatic matching.

Key Responsibilities

This outside sales position involves promoting Sysco's products and services while building relationships with new and existing accounts. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing new business, penetrating existing accounts, and minimizing lost business to achieve profitable sales growth and special objectives within assigned territory.
  • Seeking and qualifying prospects following company account stratification goals.
  • Researching customer business needs and developing a mix of products and services to meet those needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related discipline; or HSD/GED and 3 years Restaurant Management, B2B or outside sales experience, or equivalent relatable experience.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and current automobile insurance.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or chef experience are preferred. Bi-lingual individuals are also encouraged to apply.
