Customer Service Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Customer Care Accounts Receivable Representative to join our team at Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for assisting customers with inquiries about products and services, resolving internal and external customer issues, and working closely with our National Call Center resources.
Key Responsibilities- Assist customers with key back-office processes, including accounts receivable, order processing, and customer service.
- Resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner, providing responses and resolutions in a reasonable timeframe.
- Work with our National Call Center Credit Corrections team to secure product credits.
- Answer customer questions related to accounts receivable and provide documentation as needed.
- Enter and process payments in our AS400 system and address any payment-related issues with customers and Salesforce.
- Follow up on customer collections as requested by our National Call Center Accounts Receivable team, utilizing established delinquency, aging, and collection letter and follow-up guidelines.
- Work with customers, Salesforce, and our National Call Center team to complete necessary paperwork and forward to our A/R Supervisor.
- Research and provide documentation for internal and external audits.
- Assist with research of missing invoices and complete applicable IRS forms for cash payments over $10,000.
- Maintain effective and consistent communication with our Sales Force and employees at our National Call Center.
- Answer general Sales Force questions and resolve issues related to accounts receivable.
- Provide invoice copies, monthly statements, and other document/information requests.
- Monitor and balance petty cash.
- Process credits on product returned to our warehouse by drivers or through pickup slips.
- Separate saleable and non-saleable credits for submission to our Accounting team for processing.
- Process discount debits/credits when approved by pricing and verify all debits/credits processed the prior day.
- Process incoming orders from customers.
- Assist our Sales Force with issues relating to order submission, such as Topaz issues.
- Answer general order inquiries, providing first-level support and minimizing call transfers.
- Process pickups and returns per our established pickup and return policy.
- Stay up-to-date on state-specific alcoholic beverage laws and state listings laws.
- Cross-train with our Cashier and Customer Service team members to serve as a backup when needed.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalency plus two years of experience.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets in creating pivot tables, developing charts, and complex formulas.
- Experience working in accounts receivable or a general office environment.
- Ten-Key by touch proficiency.
