About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Supplier Industrialization Engineer, Top Level Assembly Electronics to join our team at Tesla. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for managing the industrialization of Autopilot Infotainment parts, including Audio, Telemetry and Sensors.

In this role, you will provide leadership for New Product Introduction (NPI) at Suppliers, leading supplier improvements in scalability, cost, and quality. You will review 2D ,3D CAD Mechanical Drawings and conduct DFM with suppliers, execute qualification activities, required for product release PPAP, and accountable for supplier audits to ensure their ability to meet part performance, delivery, and reliability expectations.

You will collaborate with Tesla Design, Quality, and Manufacturing to determine the ideal performance specifications and supplier metrics, accountable for leading, tracking and improving supplier manufacturing process development and launch readiness for new products and design changes. Additionally, you will validate supplier corrective actions involving design and/or process changes to ensure they are robust, sustainable, and implemented for similar potential concerns across manufacturing lines and/or suppliers.

You will also provide input on new or alternative materials for improved design, manufacturability, or cost reduction, and possess soft skills such as highly motivated, proactive engineer, strong analytical, presentation, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Experience working with International OEM/Supplier is required, as well as the ability to work independently and under high pressure, with an average of 50 - 60% travel, possibly on short notice.
