Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Electromagnetic and Environmental Effects (E3) Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the electromagnetic compatibility and interference (EMI/EMC) of our products meet the required standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise in EMI/EMC, electromagnetic radiation, and high-altitude electromagnetic pulse (HEMP) to ensure compliance with military and commercial standards.
  • Design and verify analysis of EMI/EMC, electrostatic discharge (ESD), and shielding effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement E3 test plans and product testing.
  • Ensure balance between risk conditions and constraints while advising leadership on technical decisions.
  • Lead engagements with program teams to ensure E3 requirements, timelines, and deliverables are met.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including test plans and reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field with a minimum of 8+ years of experience in E3/EMI field and engineering experience with both military and commercial standards.
  • Experience in design and verification analysis of EMI/EMC, ESD, and shielding effectiveness.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree or PhD in a STEM field.
  • Current DoD Top Secret level security clearance.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
