Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Analog/RF Engineering Scientist to join our team at The University of Texas at Austin. As a key member of our Applied Research Laboratories, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing RF and analog circuits, antennas, and software for use in cutting-edge wireless systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and analysis of RF and analog circuits, antennas, and software for wireless systems
  • Work as a member of a development team for the design, integration, and testing of electromagnetic components for digital communication systems
  • Assessment, development, and design of RF circuits and antennas
  • Design and implementation of RF and networking software
  • Testing in both laboratory and field environments of RF elements and software
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Physics or Electrical Engineering or related discipline with emphasis on electromagnetics, microwaves, or antenna theory
  • Three years of related experience
  • Proficiency with RF test equipment and laboratory measurement
  • Demonstrated knowledge of antenna theory and RF spectrum
  • Ability to design, implement, and test RF circuits, including matching networks, duplexers, filters, amplifiers, and mixers
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Physics or Electrical Engineering with emphasis on electromagnetics, microwaves, or antenna theory
  • More than three years of related experience
  • Practical experience with antenna design and signal processing
  • Experience with software defined radio

The University of Texas at Austin offers a competitive benefits package, including 100% employer-paid basic medical coverage, retirement contributions, paid vacation and sick time, and paid holidays. Salary range is $104,000-$174,000+/negotiable depending on qualifications.
