Radiation Therapist Job Summary

This role involves simulating treatment plans, performing dosimetric calculations, applying radiation therapy treatments, and working collaboratively with healthcare professionals to achieve outstanding patient outcomes.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops and delivers accurate and customized treatment plans according to physician instructions
  • Collaborates with physicists and dosimetrists to ensure precise dosimetric calculations and quality assurance
  • Ensures timely and effective delivery of prescribed radiation therapy treatments while maintaining a safe environment
  • Maintains accurate and detailed records for quality assurance and regulatory purposes
  • Participates in Brachytherapy procedures and contributes to a culture of excellence and quality
  • Serves as a resource and mentor to junior staff members, promoting growth and development

Requirements:

  • Degree in Radiation Therapy Technology from an accredited institution
  • Certification as a Radiation Therapist by ARRT-T
  • Relevant licensure or registration as required by local authorities

Work Schedule:

  • A standard Monday-to-Friday schedule with some flexibility
  • Ability to lift and/or move patients with colleagues as needed

Estimated Annual Salary: $70,000 - $90,000
