Position: Electrician

Role Overview:

The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for the installation and testing of electrical and electronic systems related to service agreements and projects, particularly those involving advanced building control systems, fire safety, security surveillance, audio systems, variable frequency drives (VFD), and energy management solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation and testing of electrical and electronic systems associated with service contracts and projects, including automatic building control systems, fire safety measures, security surveillance, audio systems, and energy management.
  • Conduct routine lighting inspections and perform necessary re-lamping tasks.
  • Install or assist in the installation of conduits, wiring, cables, equipment, and devices related to fire safety, security, and building automation systems. Mount and install electrical and electronic controls, devices, panels, sensors, and components, ensuring proper interlock wiring.
  • Conduct wiring checks and assist in system start-ups. Perform tasks related to panel fabrication and dismantle electrical/electronic instruments as needed.
  • Coordinate with management regarding material and supply requirements to ensure timely project execution. Assist in selecting components and auxiliary equipment from external suppliers.
  • Provide input for the preparation of as-built drawings and respond to service and warranty inquiries while performing preventative maintenance and routine inspections.
  • Instruct client personnel on proper system operations and conduct training for system acceptance.
  • Assist with electrical estimating, manage job material orders, and contribute to job scheduling within the work order system.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Specialized training or certification may be necessary.
  • Preferred: NC/SC electrical license.
  • Strong skills in conduit and pipe installation.
  • Proficient troubleshooting abilities.
  • Experience with low voltage and HVAC control installations.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
