Job Summary:
This Electrical Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing a variety of electrical trade functions, including installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, and utilization of electric energy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installing or repairing electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment
- Working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications to locate and diagnose trouble in the electrical system or equipment
- Using a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments
- Performing standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Security Clearance (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Commercial Driver's License
- Valid Electrician's License / State Journeyman's Certificate
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related field of study
- Three to five years in electrical maintenance and repair in an industrial setting
Work Schedule:
Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Position may require some shift work and work on Holidays, Saturday, and Sunday
