About the Position

Title: Agile Project Leader (Financial Services)

Location: Remote/Hybrid

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Overview: We are in search of an Agile Project Leader with substantial expertise in the financial services domain to steer and enhance our agile development methodologies. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership qualities, exceptional communication skills, and a knack for problem-solving, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams to ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery of high-quality projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Assist the Product Owner in backlog management while promoting a positive team environment that respects priorities and scope.
  • Identify and remove obstacles, nurturing a high-performance team culture focused on continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and report on team velocity and progress of sprints/releases to stakeholders and management.
  • Ensure development teams adhere to core agile principles such as collaboration, prioritization, accountability, and transparency.
  • Enhance internal and external communication, fostering transparency and sharing information effectively.
  • Guide and support the Product Owner, particularly in grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
  • Collaborate with other Agile Coaches and Scrum Masters to optimize the application of Scrum across the organization.
  • Engage with stakeholders to identify project risks and challenges, assisting in the formulation of mitigation strategies and action plans.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent agile project management certification (PMI-ACP, SAFe).
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master within the financial services sector.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong grasp of Scrum and Kanban methodologies, principles, and practices.
  • Exceptional communication and mentoring abilities.
  • Capability to comprehend technical issues at a conceptual level.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), from inception to deployment.
  • Experience utilizing Agile performance metrics to promote accountability and ongoing improvement.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
