Job Description:
As an Agile Scrum Master, you will be responsible for optimizing the flow of work and value delivery by one or more Scrum teams. Your primary goal will be to ensure the team follows their agreed-upon processes and that there is a good relationship between the Product Owner and the development team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Demos/Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives.
- Manage dependencies for the team and provide visibility into team delivery plans and progress.
- Ensure impediments are resolved quickly and that the team follows their agreed-upon processes.
- Act as an Agile Coach, promoting and coaching the Agile mindset and principles to empower the team to become self-managing and fulfill their cross-functional potential.
- Guide and coach one or more teams on Scrum practices and develop their understanding of Agile principles.
- Facilitate scaled planning for the team, including Pre-Planning/Preparation, PI Planning Events, and Scrum of Scrums/ART Syncs.
- Help the team define norms/agreements, such as a Definition of Ready and Definition of Done, and enforce the agreements.
- Ensure the team has a healthy product and Sprint backlog, in collaboration with the Product Owner.
- Facilitate dependency management/risk management/impediment removal for the team.
- Promote/facilitate communication and collaboration within the Agile team to support value delivery and Sprint commitments.
- Provide visibility into the Agile team's delivery plans and progress against plan to stakeholders.
- Enable the team to become high-performing through collaboration and a relentless focus on continuous improvement, including cross-skilling across the team.
- Measure team delivery, maturity, and performance and review the metrics with the team to identify improvement opportunities.
- Mentor more junior Scrum Masters.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of development experience using JAVA/J2EE, spring-based applications.
- Total work experience shall be from 4 years to 8 years.
- OS - UNIX and Windows.
- SVN, Bitbucket/GIT or related.
- REST API Development.
- Oracle database.
Desired:
- Experience in banking domain.
- Exposure to treasury/payment systems a plus.
- Good to have working experience in Web services - Tools such as Parasoft SOA/ SOAP UI/ RIT/ LISA.
- Comfortable in working DFDL message sets.
- Good to have exposure on COBOL copybook and different XML message.
