Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Providence Medford Medical Center. As a key member of our decentralized nursing unit, you will provide administrative and technical support, collaborate with staff and leaders, and perform patient care duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clerical Support: Initiate and prioritize transcription of provider orders, assemble and maintain patient charts, and manage current forms and results/reports.
  • Communication: Serve as the hub of all communication for the unit, displaying professional interpersonal skills when interacting with patients, public, and staff. Provide front-line customer service.
  • Administrative Support: Collaborate with staff and leaders to develop, oversee, and operate the unit, ensuring seamless patient care and administrative processes.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience: Coursework/Training and Health Unit Coordinator or secretarial coursework along with a medical terminology course or experience. Or Health Unit Coordinator: 1 year experience performing secretarial duties in a health care environment.
  • Certifications: Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License and National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • Software Skills: Experience with a variety of software applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Acute Care Experience: 1 year of Acute care hospital experience, ideally performing CNA and/or Health Unit Coordinator duties.
  • CNA 2 Experience: 1 year of experience as a CNA 2.
