The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join our team and contribute to the development of our in vitro platform for rapidly screening candidate molecules. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating drug delivery and efficacy in ex vivo immune cell assays, as well as contributing to our core workstreams involving modern molecular biology, screening assays, Next-Generation Sequencing, tissue processing, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute experiments to evaluate drug delivery and efficacy in ex vivo immune cell assays
  • Contribute to the development of our in vitro platform for rapidly screening candidate molecules
  • Collaborate with our team of experts to advance our RNA therapy pipeline
  • Develop and maintain high-quality laboratory protocols and procedures
  • Communicate research findings and results to the team and stakeholders
Requirements
  • 2+ years of laboratory research experience, preferably in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical role
  • Hands-on experience with techniques such as T cell isolation and activation assays, T cell co-culture and cell killing assays, ex vivo tissue culture and drug screening, fluorescence activated cell analysis and sorting
  • Ability to work on site in our lab spaces located in Berkeley and Alameda
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in the biotechnology industry
  • Passion for accelerating therapeutic development and delivering cures for patients in need
