Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Research Associate to support the nonclinical and process development of novel drug products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry and analytical techniques, with experience in biochemical synthesis and characterization of novel protein/polymer conjugates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct independent experiments following established laboratory technical procedures.
  • Perform analytical method execution for product characterization and release testing.
  • Learn and implement cell assays to assess conjugate activity.
  • Reaction and formulation condition screening and optimization.
  • Synthesis and analytical method characterization for additional product pipelines.
  • Maintain accurate and well-organized laboratory records, worksheets, and notebooks.
  • Comply with company Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and practices.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • MS with 0-2 years post-grad industry or academic experience or a BS with 2+ years of industry experience in Chemistry, Chemical Biology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline with a strong synthetic and analytical background.
  • Prior experience in chemical synthesis and analytical techniques in a research or production setting.
  • Able to conduct research with careful attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively with scientists across multiple disciplines.
  • A dependable, self-starter capable of working independently within a small team.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Prior experience operating and developing assays using liquid chromatography is preferred.

Chemistry, biochemistry, chemical synthesis, analytical technique, SEC HPLC, light scattering, spectrophotometry, biolayer interferometry, surface plasmon resonance, EHS, cell assay, liquid chromatography, Microsoft Office, laboratory.
