Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment Strategy
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy to attract top talent from across the country.
    • Collaborate with the admissions team to identify and pursue recruitment opportunities.
  • Team Management
    • Supervise and mentor a team of recruitment professionals to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
    • Provide guidance and support to help the team achieve their recruitment goals.
  • Travel and Events
    • Travel extensively throughout the country to attend college fairs, high school presentations, and other recruitment events.
    • Represent the university at these events and provide information to prospective students and their families.
  • Data Analysis
    • Analyze data to identify trends and patterns in recruitment efforts.
    • Use this data to inform recruitment strategies and make data-driven decisions.
  • Communication
    • Develop and maintain relationships with high schools, counselors, and other stakeholders in the recruitment process.
    • Communicate effectively with the admissions team, faculty, and staff to ensure a smooth and efficient recruitment process.

Requirements

  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in higher education, multicultural education, or a related field.
  • Experience
    • Five years of progressive experience in undergraduate student recruitment or diversity/recruitment-related positions.
    • Three years of supervisory experience.
  • Skills
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively.
    • Sound judgment and ability to prioritize and make independent decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education
    • Master's degree in higher education or a related field.
  • Experience
    • Proficiency in Slate or similar CRM.
    • Bilingual proficiency.

Work Environment

The successful candidate will be based in our office and will be required to travel extensively throughout the country. The work environment is typical of an office setting with a fast-paced and dynamic team.
