YOUR CONTRIBUTION AS A SERVICE ENGINEERING SPECIALIST

This is a full-time engineering role. You will maintain regular working hours with occasional travel to client locations, which may be up to 75% of your time, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional technical support and service.

In your role as a Service Engineering Specialist, you will engage with technical documentation, collaborate with project managers and engineers, and carefully plan your travel and logistics. Upon reaching client sites, you will conduct formal introductions, participate in safety briefings, and assess work areas to ensure compliance with standards. Your main responsibilities will include laying out dryer footprints, confirming installations, and ensuring all components are securely fastened to meet Buhler's high standards. You will continuously monitor contractors' work, compile detailed daily reports, and suggest necessary field corrections. Additionally, you will operate customer products through our equipment, validate operational performance, and optimize dryer airflow for maximum efficiency. Throughout this process, you will provide essential training to customer operators and maintenance staff, ensuring they are well-prepared to manage the equipment.

OUR IDEAL SERVICE ENGINEERING SPECIALIST
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in installation
  • Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and ladder logic
  • Experience in setting and adjusting gas trains, burners, and actuators (electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic)
  • Expertise in troubleshooting electrical power and control systems
  • Familiarity with various testing and measurement instruments, including electrical/electronic testing tools, pressure measurement and control devices, air and gas flow equipment, and moisture and humidity monitoring instruments
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%
A bachelor's degree and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred but not mandatory.
