Position Overview

Treehouse is seeking a Director of Strategic Finance to lead our financial initiatives and support our operational expansion. This pivotal role will report directly to the COO and will be essential in crafting our financial outlook, identifying growth avenues, ensuring fiscal discipline, and facilitating data-informed decision-making throughout the organization.

The responsibilities of the Director of Strategic Finance include:

  • Overseeing the FP&A function, including meticulous record-keeping, monthly closing procedures, tax compliance, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Leading the monthly forecasting and the quarterly and annual budgeting processes.
  • Conducting performance reviews with the executive team and department heads to assess progress against forecasts and budgets.
  • Formulating pricing strategies and establishing discount protocols in collaboration with field operations and sales teams.
  • Assessing the profitability and economic feasibility of new product lines and services.
  • Preparing comprehensive materials for board meetings.
  • Managing the procurement operations, including selecting financial tools and negotiating contracts with key suppliers.

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in consulting, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or within the finance department of a venture-backed startup, ideally with exposure to the climate or electrification sectors.
  • Expertise in financial modeling and advanced analytics, with proficiency in financial software, Excel, and data visualization platforms.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
