Key Responsibilities
  • Electronic Medical Record Maintenance: Accurately create, update, and manage electronic medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Patient Confidentiality: Safeguard patient information, adhering to strict confidentiality protocols.
  • Clinical Team Support: Provide timely assistance to clinical teams, ensuring they have access to necessary patient records.
  • Mail and Fax Processing: Efficiently process interoffice mail and faxes, distributing them to relevant personnel.
  • Record Releases and Referrals: Process and document medical records releases and referrals accurately.
  • Lab and Radiology Results: Verify lab and radiology results against orders, contacting providers as needed.
  • Chart Audits: Participate in chart audits, gathering information and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Other Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced training or certification in medical records management, transcription, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: One year of experience in an office/clerical role, specifically in medical records, billing, insurance, or transcription.

We offer a competitive salary range of $42,000 - $55,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
