Position Overview

We are in search of driven and enthusiastic Real Estate Attorneys who are eager to leverage their legal expertise, ethical standards, and training to primarily support CapCenter's operational functions while also providing legal counsel. These Attorneys will engage in a distinctive combination of business operations management and legal oversight, demonstrating a willingness to actively contribute to ensuring an outstanding experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Closing Process Management. At CapCenter, the closing process is more than just a procedural step; it is a chance for the Real Estate Attorney to connect with clients, deliver a professional yet enjoyable experience, address any outstanding concerns, and inform clients about additional services offered by CapCenter. Our goal is for clients to leave the closing feeling excited to share their positive experiences.
  • Leadership in Operations. The Real Estate Attorney will lead a diverse team of mortgage and closing professionals, ensuring compliance with internal timelines and striving to exceed client satisfaction benchmarks. This leadership role is vital for the growth of CapCenter's business.
  • Legal Guidance in Lending. Embedded within CapCenter's mortgage and closing operations, the Real Estate Attorney will provide essential legal advice regarding state law and secondary mortgage market requirements to operational team members.
  • Quality Assurance in Transactions. Acting as the primary quality control manager, the Real Estate Attorney will prepare transactions for closing while offering legal support and ensuring quality assurance across CapCenter's title, loan production, closing, and realty teams.
  • Expertise in State Law. The Real Estate Attorney will become a subject matter expert on the state laws relevant to the operations team they oversee.
  • Process Improvement Initiatives. The Real Estate Attorney will work to enhance and optimize CapCenter's existing processes, documentation, and systems to promote efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for assisting clients in achieving their real estate and home financing objectives. Strong analytical abilities and a desire to apply legal knowledge in a business context are essential. Previous experience in private legal practice is preferred. Additionally, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Possession of a Law License and JD from an accredited law school, along with a Bachelor's degree
  • Willingness to acquire knowledge of local real estate and mortgage markets
  • Demonstrated professionalism, ethics, and integrity
  • Strong client service and relationship-building capabilities
